OBTAINING A BRUSSELS GRIFFON FROM US

It takes more than money to acquire one of our little Brussels Griffons. We want to make sure you understand the breed and that it really is the right breed for you. To help with your understanding, Parisfield breeder Sharon Sakson has written a book on the breed which will be published by Barrons Publishing in February 2007. It will have the most in-depth information possible on what the breed is like and how to take care of these wonderful dogs. We will ask a few things about you: Where do you live? Have you ever had a Griff before? Why do you want one? Have you cared for a dog before? What would the puppy's life be like with you? If you are gone more than eight hours a day, will someone be available to take care of your dog? We will not sell any Griff as a surprise present. We want to make sure the new owners really want a Griff, and that they bond with the perfect one for them.

Paws and Reflect is now available!

My friend Neil Plakcy and I have collaborated on a book celebrating the unique relationships between gay men and their dogs. It's called Paws and Reflect: Exploring the Bond Between Gay Men and Their Dogs. I interviewed a dozen men, from celebrities like playwright Edward Albee, filmmaker Jonathan Caouette and drag diva Charles Busch, to ordinary guys with extraordinary stories of love and devotion. We've already gotten some great reviews; Publisher's Weekly says "The sincerity and warmth that comes through in each of these stories is infectious, and the inter-species relationships they describe provide unique perspective on the interview subjects as human beings."
